Description

The Honor Magic V2 is a book-style foldable phone that comes in an extremely slim frame. Matter of fact, it is the slimmest foldable in the world. With a thickness of just 9.90 mm, when folded. Yes, when folded! Though this number belongs to the leather-back variant, the glass-back isn’t too thick either at just 10.10 mm. When you open the thing, it converts to a paper-thin device of just 4.70–4.80 mm thickness. Inside, you get a Titanium alloy Hinge with SGS certification for reliability.
On the front, you get a 6.43-inch outer screen while the inner screen stretches 7.92 inches diagonally. Both of these panels are OLED with up to 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, you get 3,840Hz PWM dimming along with display support for 1.07 billion colours. The outer screen also features second-generation Nanocrystal Glass for drop resistance. The Honor Magic V2 ships in three colour options: Purple, Gold, and Black. The Black colour option is available in both leather as well as glass options for the back panel. Whereas the other two colours only come with a glass back.

While the slim frame would have you think otherwise, the Honor Magic V2 does not sleep on the performance side of things. Firstly, it has the 2023 Qualcomm flagship processor i.e. Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 doing the heavy duty. Furthermore, you get a 16GB memory coupled with 512GB storage as well. The 256GB and the “Ultimate” variant with 1TB storage are not available in Nepal. Inside, it features an Ultra-thin Bionic Cooling System with an area of 29,000mm2 to dissipate the heat and stabilise the performance. Moreover, this foldable draws its power from a large dual-cell 5,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery with 66W charging support.

Moving on to the optics department, you get a triple camera setup on the back. The primary of which is a 50MP shooter. The auxiliary lenses here include a 50MP Ultrawide unit and a 20MP telephoto camera. The main camera and telephoto lens both support optical image stabilisation. In addition to the three cameras, you also get an 8×8 dToF laser focusing system and a flicker sensor + colour temperature sensor on the back. In the meantime, both the inner and outer front cameras on the Honor Magic V2 are 16MP in resolution and support 2D face recognition.
